Ingredients

Active ingredient: Apixaban 5 mg.

Core excipients (tablet core)

• Anhydrous lactose (lactose) — note: significant amount per tablet.
• Microcrystalline cellulose
• Croscarmellose sodium
• Sodium lauryl sulfate
• Magnesium stearate

Film-coating (coating) components

• Lactose monohydrate
• Hypromellose (E464)
• Titanium dioxide
• Triacetin (glycerol triacetate)
• Red iron oxide (colourant for 5 mg tablet)

Excipients with known effect / precautions

• Lactose: each 5 mg tablet contains a clinically relevant amount of lactose (reported ~102.9 mg — check local product insert). Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, total lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine.

Storage & handling

• Store in a cool, dry place according to the local product information; retain in original packaging (blister) to protect from moisture and light.
